Safety Gate product alert monitoring
Safety Gate is the EU rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products. National authorities publish alerts every week, and marketplaces act on them quickly. Under the General Product Safety Regulation, businesses must also report accidents caused by their products and cooperate with corrective actions such as recalls.
Why monitor it
- An alert on a product similar to yours often leads to marketplace checks on the whole category.
- Finding an alert on your own product late leaves less time to respond to authorities and marketplaces.
- Alerts show which risks authorities are currently prioritising, for example chemicals in toys, cosmetics or chargers.
