GPSR EU Responsible Person for sellers outside the EU
Since 13 December 2024 the General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) requires an economic operator established in the EU for consumer products sold here. Its name, postal address and electronic contact must appear on the product or packaging and in every online listing. Amazon, Temu, AliExpress, Shein and other marketplaces check this field and suppress listings without it.
Who needs it
- Manufacturers and brands outside the EU selling directly to EU consumers.
- Marketplace sellers whose products reach the EU without an EU importer.
- Sellers whose current provider has stopped, raised prices or stopped answering.
If you already have an EU manufacturer, importer or authorised representative for the product, you may not need another one. We check that first.
What we do
- Admission check — product, category, SKUs, sales channels and any existing EU operator.
- Mandate — a written mandate for the products in scope, signed with an operator established in Spain.
- Product file — technical documentation, safety information, label text in the required languages and traceability data.
- Listing data — the exact Responsible Person block for each marketplace.
- Authority contact — we receive and answer market-surveillance requests, and coordinate corrective action and accident notifications with you.

Limits
The Responsible Person shares responsibility for cooperation with authorities, so we accept products only after reviewing the documentation. We do not issue certificates or test products; testing stays with accredited laboratories.
