Transparency obligation (Article 50)
The AI Act's honesty requirement: people must know when they interact with AI, when content is AI-generated, when media is synthetic, and when emotion/biometric systems are used on them. Applies from 2 August 2026.
Four duties: chat disclosure, AI content marking, deepfake labels, emotion/biometric notice. Fines up to €15M or 3% of turnover.
